Taste by The Hour

Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: July 25, 2026
Last Updated: July 25, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Taste by The Hour website, inquiry forms, communications, consultations, bookings, catering services, event services, and related offerings.

Taste by the Hour is a catering company that provides flavorful, professionally prepared food and personalized service for weddings, corporate events, private parties, celebrations, and special occasions. We create customized catering experiences based on each client’s event needs, guest count, menu preferences, and dietary requirements.

1. Services

Taste by The Hour provides catering and related event services. Where offered, wedding-officiant services may also be provided.

The specific scope of service, menu, staffing, equipment, event schedule, ceremony requirements, fees, deposits, payment terms, and cancellation terms will be stated in the applicable proposal, invoice, catering agreement, officiant agreement, or event contract.

If a signed service agreement conflicts with these Terms and Conditions, the signed service agreement will control.

2. Quotes and Availability

Submitting an inquiry does not reserve an event date or guarantee availability.

Quotes are based on the information provided, including guest count, menu, venue, service style, staffing, travel, equipment, and timing. Prices may change if event details or the requested scope of service changes.

An event is confirmed only after Taste by The Hour accepts the booking and receives all required signed documents and deposits.

3. Deposits and Payments

Deposit amounts, payment schedules, accepted payment methods, late charges, and final payment deadlines will be stated in the applicable agreement.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, deposits may be nonrefundable because we may reserve the date, purchase supplies, schedule personnel, or decline other work.

4. Guest Counts and Event Changes

Customers must provide accurate event information and submit final guest counts, menus, venue details, and other required decisions by the deadlines stated in the applicable agreement.

Additional guests, service time, menu items, venue restrictions, travel, rentals, staffing, or last-minute changes may result in additional charges.

5. Food Allergies and Dietary Needs

Customers must disclose known allergies and dietary needs in writing.

We will use reasonable care to follow agreed instructions, but we cannot guarantee that food or preparation environments are completely free from allergens or cross-contact. Customers with serious allergies should discuss them with us before booking.

For additional information, please review our Dietary and Allergen Notice:

6. Venue and Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

  • Securing the venue and required permissions.

  • Providing accurate access, parking, utility, kitchen, setup, and event information.

  • Communicating all venue restrictions.

  • Maintaining a safe environment for guests, staff, and vendors.

  • Obtaining permits, licenses, insurance, or approvals assigned to the customer by the applicable agreement.

7. Wedding Officiant Services

When wedding-officiant services are requested, services will be performed according to the applicable written agreement and the laws of the jurisdiction where the ceremony occurs.

The couple is responsible for obtaining a valid marriage license, confirming identification and witness requirements, providing complete and accurate information, and following any filing or return instructions required by law.

Taste by The Hour does not guarantee that a marriage will be legally recognized when inaccurate information is provided, a valid license is not obtained, legal deadlines are missed, or jurisdictional requirements outside our agreed responsibilities are not met.

8. Cancellation, Postponement, and Force Majeure

Cancellation, postponement, refund, and rescheduling rules will be stated in the applicable service agreement.

Neither party will be responsible for failure caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, government restrictions, venue closure, natural disaster, public emergency, transportation interruption, or similar events. The parties will follow the rescheduling or cancellation terms in the applicable agreement.
